Dahlgrenianthus suecicus
Diagnosis
Flowers bisexual, actinomorphic and hypogynous, borne on short conical pedicels. Perianth consisting of five tepals in one whorl. Tepals basally fused to form a short, persistent floral cup. Stamens five, opposite the tepals. Pollen triaperturate and angulaperturate; oblate and triangular in equatorial outline; isopolar or heteropolar; apertures sometimes protruding; exoaperture short colpi extended parallel to the polar axis; endoaperture circular pores. Gynoecium tricarpellate and syncarpous. Styles three and short with simple, rounded stigmas. Ovules/ seeds one per ovary, anatropous and basally attached. Fruit a unilocular or partly trilocular, one-seeded nut. Seed wall thinly membranous.
