- Diagnosis
- Endocarp one-seeded, bisymmetrical, fruit individual and not stalked, ventral margin straight to slightly convex. Endocarp thin, stony and smooth. Germination valve occupying the entire dorsal margin and extending around the base of the endocarp almost to the ventral margin. Seed curved around a distinct internal process arising from one quarter to one third the length of the endocarp from the apex, and extending about halfway across the endocarp from the ventral margin. Lower lobe of the seed two to three times larger than the upper lobe.Position of the internal process represented externally by a large and distinct deep depression, situated near the ventral margin, in the apical third of the endocarp.
