- Diagnosis
- Leaves ovate, basally rounded, margin entire, apex acute
with an acuminate tip; petiole pulvinate, attachment subpeltate.
Primary venation pinnate with two strong basal secondaries (triplinerved),
forming agrophic veins, secondary veins brochidodromous,
tertiary and fourth-order venation percurrent, marginal venation
looped. Leaf mesophyll with phytoliths, laminar disc-shaped, sessile
glandular scales and paired, basally laminar extrafloral nectaries
present.
