- Diagnosis
- Pith small, homogeneous but heterocellular. Primary
xylem endarch. Secondary xylem homoxylic, with growth rings, and
uni- to biseriate araucarioid pits. Xylem rays uniseriate, homogeneous,
low. Cross-field pits rectangular to oblique oval, partially circular, simple,
sometimes slightly areolate. Vertical parenchyma cells and secretory
cells absent.
