Diagnosis
A compound fructification consisting of a group or tuft of scales of two kinds, terminating a pedicel. Lanceolate, acute scales without visible reproductive organs. Oblong to obovate spathulate scales with an arching or slightly irregular transverse ridge or fold, at which seeds are attached.
