Diagnosis
Ovulate cones cylindrical. Bract-scale complexes helically arranged, dorsiventrally flattened, and sharply upturned with an abaxial thickening. Ovuliferous scale fused to bract over half its length, free at tip and margins, nearly membranous, containing a single resin canal. Cone axis containing many axial resin canals in the cortex. Primary division of bract-scale trace vertical. Bract-scale complexes with a large central resin canal continuous with the cortical system; additional resin canals appear de novo within complexes. Three inverted seeds per bract scale complex, attached proximal to the separation of ovuliferous scale tip from bract.
