perforation plates; small to medium size, alternate and vestured
intervessel pits; vessel-ray parenchyma pits with distinct borders
are similar to intervessel pits in size and shape; uniseriate and
multiseriate rays, homocellular to heterocellular rays; axial parenchyma
vasicentric, aliform to confluent and in marginal or in
seemingly marginal bands; up to eight cells per parenchyma
strand; non-septate fibres; axial canals small and diffuse; prismatic
crystals in axial parenchyma cells.
