- Megasporangiate cones of lepidodendralean affinity with unintegumented sporangia containing one large spore of the Lagenicula type and three abortive Lagenicula-type spores in their distal end. All spores enclosed by a granulose unit that extends toward the cone axis, forming a caudal winglike structure on the largest spore. Elongate sporangia with a simple wall structure (one columnar cell layer). Region of attachment of sporangium to adaxial surface of pedicel narrow and extending most of the length of the pedicel. Sporophylls thick, ligulate, spirally ar- ranged, and with elongate heel and upturned distal lamina.
