- Diagnosis
- Plants with erect main axes bearing spirally arranged branch systems composed of two to three orders of branching arranged in two rows. Pairs of non-laminate, dichotomous aphlebiae located on opposite sides of the base of each branch axis. Basal one or two branches of second and third order anisotomously dichotomous; remainder of branches with a distinct main axis. Alternately arranged, ultimate branchlets non-laminate, isotomously dichotomous. Fertile branches with secondary branch aphlebiae and ultimate branchlets bearing sporangia at tips of recurved axes. Roots unknown.
