- Ovoid to spherical multiple infructescence, individual berry fruits united to the long axis of the infructescence; berries with six unilocular carpels, each with a single ovule/seed; thin pericarp; campylotropous ovule with a single vascular bundle; seed rectangular to subtriangular/pyriform, with two integumentary layers; nucellus represented by a single cell layer; embryonic reserve tissue (perisperm?) of thin-walled cells; curved embryo.
