    When originally proposed, two formerly validly published fossil-genera were included in synonymy: Xylomites Unger, Chlor. Protogaea (1): 3. 23-26 Feb 1842 and Rhytismopsis Geyler in von Nordenskiöld, Vega-Exped. Vetensk. Iakttagelser 4: 488. 1887.
