- Diagnosis
- Thalli preserved as carbonaceous compressions, composed of a prostrate cardinal axis and more than 10 bundles of parallel trichomes growing nearly upright from the prostrate cardinal axis. The trichomes in the cardinal axis and the bundles can be observed clearly. At the end of the bundles are dichotomous branches of greater diameter. Two dichotomous branches are nearly the same thickness, with round tops at about 30°.
