- First-order axes pseudomonopodial, with second-order axes attached alternately in same plane. Ultimate appendages three-dimensionally isotomous and bearing paired tips curving oppositely. These appendages arranged in whorls on first- and second-order axes. Variable number of appendages per whorl unequally spaced at nodes of first- and second-order axes. Fertile ultimate appendages with oppositely curved tips bearing elliptical sporangia in pairs.
