- Diagnosis
- Aquatic submersed filamentous plant. Stem cylindrical slender, furrowed and jointed by nodal and internodal regions (articulate). Leaves sessile, flexible and inserted whorly on the stem apical portion. Cylindrical, tubular and furrowed leaves. Rounded or bristle-pointed apex. Marginal pimpled teeth on the leaf and stem surfaces.
