Diagnosis
Secondary xylem pycnoxylic. Tracheids narrow, quadrangular in shape. Tracheid pitting uniseriate on radial and tangential walls. Pits rounded with rounded pores. Rays numerous, uniseriate and short: one cell high. Ray density per 0.5 mm2 up to 19 rays. Growth rings invisible.
