Diagnosis
Small herbaceous or shrub-like seed plants with slender shoots, lateral branches born in leaf axils. Axes with gymnospermous stem anatomy. Multiveined leaves opposite-decussately arranged and aligned in one plane. Leaf and stem epidermis with paracytic stomata arranged in longitudinal files. Ovulate and microsporangiate organs born terminally.
