- Diagnosis
- Long flexible axis bearing fruiting
heads and buds at consecutive nodes, widely spaced. Bud of slender
dichasial axes subtended by a whorl of partly connate pendent hairy
bracts. Mature head sessile, of synchronously developing densely imbricate
cupules, about 25 per head. Cupules narrow ovate to fusiform,
apically pointed or lacerate, lobes hairy.
