- Diagnosis
- Leaf toothed. Outer periclinal walls of epidermal cells, and associated cuticle convex on
abaxial surface, so that the epidermal cells are clearly delineated. Striations sometimes over
subsidiary cells. Inner cuticle of guard and subsidiary cells more granular than periclinal
walls of epidermal cells. Trichome bases numerous on both surfaces, associated with one or
less commonly, two basal epidermal cells. Adaxial surface striated.
