- Secondary xylem of the Agathoxylon type; growth-rings
poorly marked; tracheid walls adjacent to rays locally much thicker
than other tracheid walls; tracheid radial wall pitting uniseriate araucarian;
raysmostly 1–4 cells high; cross-fields araucarioid,with numerous
small cupressoid oculipores; some tracheids resiniferous,
sometimes septate.
