- Spherical sporangium formed by
regular layer of 20 to 30 micritised spheres
interpreted as (endo)spores. Diameter of spheres
from 50-80 gm, A well-centered section, shows
a "ring" of 8, sometimes 10-12 spheres. Central
spherical cavity, 120-150 gm in diameter,
connected to an uncalcified cortex by a small
(not preserved) uncalcified stem. Wall thickness
variable (up to 20-30 gm), but is less developed
at the contact of the spheres.
