Diagnosis
Axes up to 2-5 mm in diameter bearing unicellular spinous hairs 200-400 (im (-1000 fim) in length. Ordinary epidermal cells 200- 300 jum long, hair-subtending cells, 75-80 fim. Sporangia 2-3-2-5 mm high x3-0-3-75mm wide in face view; lateral margins adaxially recurved. Unornamented spores about 55 um diameter.
