- Growth rings boundaries distinct; semi ring porosity;
vessels circular in outline, mostly solitary, also radials
multiples and in clusters, moderate size and very short; simple
perforation plates; alternate and rounded intervessel pits; vesselray
pits similar to intervessel pits; fibers with thick-walled and
irregularly arranged; rays commonly 4–10 seriate, also uni-,
bi- and triseriate, homocellular, consisting of procumbent cells;
axial parenchyma paratracheal, vasicentric, aliform, confluent
and banded; also marginal and parenchyma strand with prismatic
crystal in chambered axial parenchyma cells.
