  Originally incorrectly published as 'comb. nov.", since Diospyros ovalis Tarasevicz was illegitimate later homonym of D. ovalis Hiern (in Trans. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 12: 248. 1873), Diospyrospollenites ovalis K. Skawińska is treated as 'nom. nov.'.
