Diagnosis
Fossil seeds with general characters of extant Weigela, but with the following specific features. Seeds elliptic and laterally flat with obvious wings on three sides. Seeds 1.8–2.1 mm long, 0.7–0.9 mm wide. Seed bodies 1.0–1.6 mm long. Wings up to 0.5 mm wide, about half as long as seed body. Widest part of seeds with 19–30 rows of cells.
