- Diagnosis
- Gyrogonites oblate spheroid, 630–670 μm long, 660– 725 μm wide, apex obtuse to broadly rounded, base broadly rounded, or rarely slightly acute. Spiral cells bulged, usually undulated or indistinct tubercles, and spiral rings 6 in number on lateral view. Cells on the apical periphery often faintly become narrow and thin. Cells in the apical center with their terminal slightly swelled, forming short, quincunx enations. Bottom holes pentagonal, externally slightly sunken.
