- Axes with two opposite rows of emergences; axes bifurcate at an acute angle, 2.0–4.0mm wide exclusive of the emergences. Emergences show a variety of appearances, as deltoid projections, tiny spines, regular sawteeth, broad obdeltoid projections or slight protrusions on the serrate margins. Emergences 1.0–1.2mm in length, bases of emergences 0.6–0.7mm wide. Spines, 0.3–0.5mm long, cover the surface of axes; spine bases, 0.2–0.3mmin diameter, not contiguous. Sporangia reniform with unequal valves, alternate- or subopposite-arranged, dehiscence to two valves. Adaxial valve 2.4–2.7mm wide; abaxial valve 3.2–3.5mm wide. Valves with rim; rim 0.1–0.2mm wide.
