- Bract-scale complex sessile. Bract consisting of a narrowly flabellate body with a prominent spinous distal projection; body of bract with straight margins, angular upper corners, and narrowly cuneate base. Each bract-scale complex bearing one inverted, narrowly obovate seed at the center.
