Diagnosis
Secondary xylem of the genus Chimairoidoqion SUSS& VELITZELOwS ith stem-, branch- and root wood structure, growth layers in stem- and branch wood distinct, in root wood indistinct, tracheids with scalariform thickenings, radial walls between thickenings entirely occupied with one to four oppositely arranged bordered pits, in stem- and wood root bordered pits round, in reaction wood of the branch bordered pits with irregular forms in cross-section, axialparenchyma sparcely scattered, rays unisenate and partial biseriate, in stem mostly 2-14, in branch mostly 2- 12, in root mostly 1-4 cells high, intercellular spaces between tracheid walls and ray cells, horizontal walls smooth, 2-4 small taxodioide pits in the cross-field, ray tracheids and resin channels absent.
