Diagnosis
Rhizome up to 10.0 mm wide, smooth, with sparsely arranged rootlets that are 2.3–2.8 mm wide in the basal part. Aerial axis to 14.1 mm wide, bifurcates anisotomous or isotomously, or K‐shaped branches. Lateral bud vertical to the axis, comprises tight, tiny microphylls. Microphylls falcate or L‐shaped in profile, 3.6–6.0 mm (mean 4.2, n ¼ 8) long and up to 1.1 mmwide at the basal portion, sparsely arranged on the mature axis in irregular to loose spirals, 6–7 microphylls per gyre. Sporangium sparsely distributed on the fertile portion of the axis, kidney‐shaped in profile, 2.1–3.3 mm wide, 1.9– 2.5 mm in height, cauline, with a short stalk that is less than 1 mm long.
