Diagnosis
Main stem and axes of the first or der straight, with 2–6 longitudinal ribs and oblique slightly curve nodal lines. Stems in the nodes are clear ly expanded. Axes of terminal order long, unclearly ribbed, with whorls of bifurcated leaves. Lamina of leaf terminal segments is undivided, from narrowobcu neate to linear in shape. The anatomical structure of stems of different orders is similar and consists of nar row, long, rarely short tracheids with spiral, annular and scalariform thickenings both on radial and on tan gential walls. The tracheid pitting is uniseriate. Pits round to rectangular in shape, common 7 μm in diam eter on radial walls, and 6 μm – on tangential walls. Pith rays were absent.
