- The plant consists of slightly longitudinally ridged axes devoid of emergences. The axes are at the most 2.8 mm wide, isotomously branched (45 to 90°) and end in pairs of fusiform sporangia, borne with an angle of 10 to 90°. The sporangia are sessile, 5.8-(6.4)-7.7mm long and 0.9-(1.1)-1.4mm wide. They show a tapering distal extremity and, in a given pair, they are twisted around each other.
