Diagnosis
Leaves simple, widely ovate; up to 22 cm in length and 20 in width; with rounded, truncate or cordate base and triangular acute apex. Margin dentate in upper part of leaf blade and almost entire in lower part. Teeth short and wide, broadly triangular, 1—3 mm in height, with blunt apex and concave shallow sinuses, sometimes with a gland at the tooth apex. Venation pinnate-subpalmate, craspedodromus. The basal secondaries simulating lateral primaries, suprabasilar, each with 6—8 subparallel, slightly curved branches that terminate in the dentation or form loops near the margin. Secondary veins, including the primaries, 6—8 on each side, diverge from the midrib at the angle about 45—60°, subparallel, usually straight or slightly curved upwards. 1—2 pair of thin subbasal veins diverges below the basal veins. Tertiary venation percurrent, slightly bent and partly forked.
