Diagnosis
Seed cones at least 22 mm long and up to 18 mm in diameter, bearing helically arranged bract-scale complexes 6.6– 13.7 mm in length by 6.25–11.8 mm in width on a thin axis around 1.5 mm in diameter. Ovuliferous scales with three broad lobes, 0.5–1.0 mm long and 2–4 mm wide, arranged in two ranks with a single adaxially positioned central lobe. Ovuliferous scales bear one or two seeds measuring 3.9 mm long by 2.2 mm wide in a broad central depression covered by a fl ap of tissue. Ovulate cones borne terminally on relatively thick, ramifi ed branches 2–4 mm in diameter bearing imbricated, Brachyphyllum -type scale leaves 1.8–3.0 mm long.
