Diagnosis
Leaf with occasional teeth. Abaxial surface striated, most epidermal cells associated with a trichome base, larger diameter forms less common, associated with from usually 2–10 basal cells, striations not evident on these cells. Stomates quite large (about 35 μm long). Inner cuticle surface granular, much less so on cells associated with trichome bases. Outer surface striations over subsidiary cells sometimes reflected on inner surface. Outer adaxial surface heavily striated, epidermal cells quite small, roughly isodiametric, anticlinal walls thick, buttressed, inner cuticle surface relatively smooth, occasional trichome bases associated with numerous epidermal cells.
