- Diagnosis
- Leaves simple. Petiole straight to curved, expanded at the base; lamina lanceolate, cuneate at base, long acuminate at apex, symmetrical at base; margin regularly spiny to bluntly serrate except entire-margined base; venation craspedodromous, at base eucamptodromous, secondary veins regularly spaced, simple, rarely forked, single intersecondaries exceptional, texture firm, chartaceous. Anticlines of adaxial epidermis straight to slightly curved, abaxial epidermis slightly cutinized, densely covered by stellate trichomes, glandular trichomes leaving enlarged simple basal cells with narrower, asymmetrically positioned attachment scar, stomata cyclocytic with narrow subsidiary cells.
