Diagnosis
Leaf elliptic-ovate, slightly asymmetrical at base, margin sparsely toothed, teeth very small, about 0.5 mm long. Cuticle thin, epidermal cells with straight to slightly sinuous anticlinal walls, periclinal walls granular. Cuticle over subsidiary cells often striated on inner and outer surfaces. Trichome bases abundant on both surfaces, associated with up to eight cells on adaxial surface, and one or usually two on abaxial surface. Trichome bases appearing on inner cuticle surface to form a crimp-margined platform.
