Diagnosis
Sepals with glands irregularly distributed on abaxial sides, lacking indumentum of twisted hairs. Stamens shorter than height of stigma. Anthers retuse with proximal spurs. Pollen grains monadinous, lacking interconnecting threads. Stylar head hemispherical to spherical. Style, pistil, and stamen filaments with stellate trichomes, especially dense on style. Fruits loculicidal capsules, enclosed by persistent sepals and persistent stamens appressed to ovary. Seeds with reticulate exotesta.
