- Diagnosis
- Manoxylic secondary xylem and phloem with primary
and secondary rays. Secondary xylem tracheids with araucarioid
pitting. Primary rays with parenchymatic cells and secretory cells (mucilage
canals). Secondary rays with homocellular parenchymatic cells.
Secondary phloem with sieve and sclerenchymatic cells. Foliar traces
with a classic omega pattern. Leaf bases with simple and unbranched
trichomes in a continuous layer on the adaxial side.
