Diagnosis
Fruit obovate to broadly elliptical, with smooth external surface, acuminate apex, constricted, neck-like base, and entiremarginwith distinct, thickened suture. The middle line, the apical beak and the necklike structure are not arranged in a straight line. Constriction lacking along the fruit margin. Each fruit containing one single seed and the seed borne in center of fruit. External cuticle of pericarp consisting of ordinary epidermal cells, dense, unicellular trichome bases and scattered stomata. Stomata random in orientation; stomatal complex anomocytic; guard cells not sunken.
