- Wood diffuse- to semi-ring-porous, vessel
frequency 40 –100 per mm2, vessel angular, rounded,
solitary and mostly in radial multiples, perforation
plate simple, rays clearly in two distinct sizes. Broad
rays 4 –10-seriate and > 1 mm in length, narrow rays
1– 3-seriate, rays heterocellular with body ray cells
procumbent with one to four or more rows of upright
and/or square marginal cells, and rays mostly irregular
in shape.
