- Diagnosis
- Medium to large pith, with peripheral resiniferous canals
and ducts, heterocellular, with cells with dark contents forming
the ducts. Primary xylem endarch to mesarch. Secondary xylem homoxylic. Araucarian radial pitting, uniseriate to pluriseriate and in
groups. Xylem rays predominantly uniseriate, rarely partially
biseriate, medium (1–9 cells high). Araucarioid cross-fields showing
1–9 unordered oculipores.
