Diagnosis
Pith large, solid and heterocellular, with ducts, secretory and parenchymacells. Primary xylemendarch. Secondary xylemhomoxylic, without growth rings. Araucarian radial pitting, uniseriate to triseriate. Xylem rays with abietinoid pitting, uniseriate to partly biseriate, high (1–37 cells high). Araucarioid cross-fields showing up to five large and unordered oculipores.
