Diagnosis
Leaves dichotomously divided four times. Stomata on the upper epidermis forming 1—4 marginal discontinuous rows, orientated longitudinally to obliquely. Lateral epidermis consisting of 5—7 cell rows with 1—2 stomata per width. Lower epidermis with 5—9 stomata per width, stomata forming indistinct rows, orientated longitudinally to obliquely or less frequently irregularly. Anticlinal walls of cells straight; periclinal wall sometimes with an indistinct cuticular ridge or wart. Subsidiary cells often bearing a small wart or papilla, central or less frequently proximal.
