Diagnosis
Simple, leaf centrally peltate, lamina orbiculate, margin entire or slightly sinuous, centrally positioned petiole. Primary venation actinodromous, bifurcating at least once and forming festooned brochidodromous arches; interior secondary veins intercalated with the primary veins; tertiary veins emerging from the primary veins, opposite percurrent, with sinus and straight course; quaternary venation reticulate; areolation is predominantly six-sided; marginal ultimate venation looped. Receptacles are obconical, with globose or elongated ovoid fruits.
