- Diagnosis
- Inflorescence consisting of an elongate slender axis 1-2 mm. in diameter bearing axillary male cones in two rows; axis fluted along its length. Cones 5-7.5 mm. in length (average 6 mm.), 3 mm. in widest diameter, each consisting of a short axis bearing 25-40 scale-like appendages of which the innermost 5-10 are fertile; fertile appendages ter- minated with usually 6 sporangia fused at the base; sporangia 1 mm. in length and 0.2 mm. in diameter. Pollen grains of the Florinites type measuring 65 X 45,u.
