Diagnosis
Leaf wide oval with acute apex; more than 16 veins in the widest part of lamina. Veins interchanging with resin ducts. Leaf hypostomatic. Lower epidermis consists of stomatal and nonstomatal bands. Stomata orientated longitudinally, rarely obliquely or transversely, 2—4 per the stomatal band. Each subsidiary cell with proximal papillae. Most of the ordinary cells of the lower epidermis display a narrow cuticular ridge or, sometimes, papillate. Anticlinal cell walls of the upper and lower epidermis undulate; cell angles rounded. Periclinal walls of upper epidermis smooth.
