Leaves simple, entire, small or medium-sized, length to width ratio about 2 : 1. Leaf blade elliptic or obovate, symmetric. Leaf base cuneate, rarely rounded. Leaf apex acute. Leaf margin irregularly serrate, entire in the lower 1/3 (or 1/2) part of leaf blade. Teeth small acute broadly-triangular. Venation pinnate, craspedodromous in the upper part and brochidodromous or semicraspedodromous in the lower part of leaf. The second or third pair of the secondary veins are the most prominent and have up to 6 basiscopic branches. Tertiary veins convex, diverging from the secondary veins in acute angle (about 60°).
