- Diagnosis
- Leaves in transverse section broadly
triangular, 3.6-4.3 mm broad by 0.65-1.2 mm
thick. Upper surface £at with shallow median depression.
Lower surface with prominent median
keel and without lateral stomatiferous furrows.
Xylem strand in transverse section triangular or
nearly crescent in shape with small tracheids at
the ends and enclosed by a bundle sheath with
flat or concave upper side and convex lower
side, 378-460 um by 280-360 um in size, of 3-6
layers of thick-walled fibrous cells. Hypodermis at
least 4-5 cells thick except in stomatiferous region
where absent.
