- Diagnosis
- Leaves 2–3 mm wide with 4 veins
immersed in the mesophyll, visible in macerated
leaves. Leaf apex obtuse. Resin ducts alternate with the
veins. Epidermis hypostomous. Lower cuticle thinner
than the upper, with 2–3 intercostal stomatal bands.
Median band considerably narrower than the lateral, discontinuous, occasionally missing. Cuticle of stomatal
bands smooth, cuticle of nonstomatal bands ornamented
with thin parallel strands. Stomata longitudinally orientated, amphicyclic, incomplete amphicyclic, seldom
monocyclic. Subsidiary cells 4–7, papillae lacking.
