Diagnosis
Seed ovate to elliptic, plano-convex to convexconvex; seed testa 1–3 mm thick; the perichalaza and raphe dividing the seed into symmetrical halves; exhibiting a cone-shaped plug in the micropylar region; lamelliform rumination, rumination folds 16–25 per cm at the margin; cells on the seed outer surface isodiametric; mesotesta fibrous; cells on the surface of ruminations elongated rectangular.
